Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 12, 2026

Throtl Technology LLC (“Throtl,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Throtl platform and related websites and services (collectively, the “Services”). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, transmit, and otherwise process information when you use the Services or otherwise interact with us.

By using the Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services. Your use is also governed by our Terms of Use & End User License Agreement, including eligibility requirements.

Privacy request channel: To access, correct, or delete personal information—including account deletion requests—use our data & privacy requests page (email links are provided there for app store listings and compliance).

Information we collect

Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect and process categories of information that include, without limitation:

  • Identity and contact information, such as name, email address, phone number, employer or company name, and similar details you or your organization provide when creating an account, corresponding with us, or using the platform.
  • Location information, including precise or approximate location derived from your device or vehicle when location services are enabled, as well as route, job site, and operational location data associated with logistics and dispatch features.
  • Account and usage information, such as credentials, preferences, support requests, and activity logs related to your use of the Services.
  • Communications, including messages or files you send through the Services or to us directly.
  • Technical information, such as device type, operating system, browser type, IP address, and similar data collected automatically for security, analytics, and service improvement.

We may combine information we receive from different sources (for example, information you provide and information collected automatically) for the purposes described below.

Mobile applications

If you use Throtl through our mobile applications (for example, on iOS or Android), we may collect the categories of information described above through the app, including location-related data when you grant permission and when needed for routing and logistics features. Mobile platforms may also provide their own privacy controls (such as location permissions or tracking settings); those are governed by your device and platform provider in addition to this policy.

How we use information

We use the information we collect to operate, provide, improve, and secure the Services; to communicate with you; to fulfill requests; to coordinate logistics, routing, and operational workflows among authorized users; to comply with law; and to protect our rights and the rights of others.

We may store and transmit personal information across systems we use to deliver the Services, including cloud infrastructure and service providers that process data on our behalf under contractual safeguards.

Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share or sell personal information to third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.

We may disclose information to partner companies and other participants on the platform when doing so is necessary to provide the Services you or your organization have chosen to use—for example, so that operators, dispatchers, haulers, and other authorized parties can coordinate loads, routes, sites, and related logistics. These recipients are expected to use shared information only as part of their participation on the platform and in line with applicable agreements.

We may also disclose information when required by law, legal process, or governmental request; to enforce our terms or protect the security and integrity of the Services; or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.

Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, meet legal and contractual obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and how it is used.

Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information (for example, to access, correct, or delete certain data, or to object to certain processing).

Deletion and other requests: You may submit a request to delete personal information or your account, or to access or correct your data, using the instructions on our data & privacy requests page. We do not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights provided by law.

California and other U.S. state residents: If applicable law grants you rights (such as the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete, or the right to correct inaccurate information), you may exercise those rights through the same data request process. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising in a manner that requires opt-out of “sale” under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended.

For general questions about this policy, contact us using the information below. We may need to verify your identity before responding to a request.

Children

The Services are not directed to individuals under eighteen (18), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date above. Material changes may be communicated through the Services or by other appropriate means. Your continued use of the Services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
